New Comic Wednesday: Spider-Man/Superman Crossovers, Absolute Flash, Absolute Wonder Woman

Jason and Scott run through New Comic Wednesday highlights, led by Marvel’s Spider-Man/Superman crossover collection featuring a Brian Michael Bendis story plus creators like Brad Meltzer, Jeff Johns, Gary Frank, and a Peach Momoko Spider-Gwen cover, alongside numerous cover variants and a sketch cover. They spotlight a big week for DC’s Absolute line with new Absolute Flash and Absolute Wonder Woman, reprints of Absolute Batman (including the Killer Croc intro and early Bane arcs), and praise Tom Taylor’s Detective Comics. They recommend the scarce DC All In Special reprint as the launch point for the Absolute initiative and the first appearance/cover appearance of the Absolute Trinity. Other picks include Green Lantern #34, Ryan North’s Flash #2, Justice League Unlimited’s villains-joining-the-League status quo, and Superman’s “Reign of the Superboys” arc featuring fourth-wall-breaking Superboy Prime. They also note Avengers: Armageddon tie-ins and remind viewers about final order cutoffs for Avengers: Armageddon and Absolute Green Arrow.
